The Washington & Lee School of Law meant everything to Lara. It was her home away from home and the place she found her life’s work. That’s why – a few weeks ago – we wanted to issue a challenge to celebrate Lara’s 36th birthday. The Foundation would match all donations to the Lara D. Gass Scholarship up to $12,000 and BOY did y’all deliver. Over the course of her birthday weekend, the scholarship received gifts totaling $19,000. Coupled with the match, the endowment rose over $31,000 – which is absolutely astounding. That amount means the next recipient will receive the largest amount ever awarded from Lara’s Scholarship. It will help purchase books, buy food, and pay for tuition. Words don’t adequately describe how grateful we are to have supporters like you. Genuinely, thank you to those that so graciously gave for this challenge – and happy birthday, Lara!
